Embedded V.29 Fax Modem Software Provides Full-duplex Data Transmission

Toronto, Canada – GAO Research Inc. is offering its V.29 fax modem software which operates in either half or full duplex modes. This software implements the ITU-T V.29 Recommendation and provides full-duplex data transmission at rates of 9600, 7200, and 4800 bps over 4-wire leased lines.

GAO’s V.29 fax modem software has a “quick connect” feature. It consists of both transmission and receiving functions for symbol transfer in groups of 2 or 4 bits at rates of 2400 symbols per second respectively. The fax modem software uses amplitude and phase modulation for synchronous transmission. It is also the modulation technique used in Group 3 fax (G3 fax) for fax data transfer at 9600 and 7200 bps on 2-wire lines. In addition, it is highly optimized in C and is multi-channel ready.

This high performance V.29 fax modem software belongs to GAO’s family of Fax Software Products. Other featured products in this line include V.27ter Fax Software which implements the ITU-T V.27ter Recommendation and is used in the general switched telephone network, T.4 – TIFF Conversion Software which enables conversion between the ITU-T T.4 Recommendation fax file format and the Tagged Image File Format (TIFF) and V.34 Fax Modem Software which incorporates a higher level of optional capabilities, intelligence, and adaptability than the lower V series modems to make the best use of the available conditions. T.30/T.30E and T.4 fax modem protocols, and T.38 fax relay protocols are also included in this line.
